Refresh Your Soul in South Korea

Discover Seoul’s history and modernity with Korean pop music, bustling markets, historically significant sites and more!

About Your Trip

Set out on a journey of discovery through the fascinating heritage and cutting-edge customs of South Korea’s metropolitan capital — and beyond. Start with a lively Korean pop (K-pop) dance class to get a feel for modern culture in Seoul. Then head to Samsung d'light and learn about innovative new technologies from this electronics company with interactive displays. After lunch, burn some more calories learning the basics of tae kwon do. You'll get a true taste of South Korea when you visit Gwangjang Market with more than 5,000 shops to suit all tastes and budgets, followed by a delicious Korean barbecue dinner.

Explore the remarkable history and contemporary politics of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (or DMZ), with a full-day tour of the Dora Observatory, the famed 3rd Tunnel and Dorasan Station on the outskirts of the city. It’s the last stop in South Korea on the train’s route to North Korea. Continue to the quaint, French-themed Provence Village in Paju full of brightly colored storefronts, cafes, bakeries and art studios. Then, end your day at one of the city’s busiest shopping districts, Myeong-dong, full of high-end retail shops and department stores.

What we love:
• Seoul is full of vibrant markets selling items of all kinds — meat, seafood, gadgets, clothing, souvenirs and more.
• Tae kwon do, a traditional Korean martial art, is characterized by different types of kicks that emphasize speed and agility.
• Seafood pancakes are a popular snack in Korea, made from savory batter, green onions and any combination of seafood.
